The Museum welcomes educational visits from schools and colleges throughout the Sunshine Coast. We offer students and teachers a wonderful opportunity to explore as a group the exciting reminders of the past lifestyles and technologies. Visits always invoke a combination of fun learning and thought provoking insights into history and heritage values.
School visits can be organised on any weekday to suit curriculum requirements. Telephone (07) 5441 2119 during opening hours (Wednesday to Saturday 1pm-4pm) or simply click School Visit below.

For groups of 15 or more seniors or other interest groups Nambour Museum is offering A Tour with complimentary homemade Devonshire Tea. As these visits are outside of our normal opening times we charge $10.00 entry fee. These tours are proving popular with residents of retirement villages, nursing homes, social and business clubs. Remembering and sharing life’s experiences is much more rewarding in the company of friends and colleagues. Often, the experience assists in documenting those important historical moments and events.
For bookings and enquiries Telephone (07) 5441 2119 during opening hours (Wednesday to Saturday 1pm-4pm) or email on nambourmuseum@gmail.com, or text Cherry 0490508943

Over recent weeks and months, a number of key projects aimed at improving the quality of the venue and visitor experience have been completed.

Our new Nambour Fire Station exhibit was opened in February. Featuring helmets, uniforms and items from the former Nambour fire station on Currie Street our newest exhibit is proving popular with our younger visitors.

In 2023 the Museum was able to preserve sections of the Maroochy River Lift Span Bridge, which have now been turned into a permanent feature!

The Museum hosts events throughout the year and we love having the opportunity to support our local community groups in the process, including Sunshine Brass!

Our museum doesn’t exist without its dedicated volunteer members, we are lucky to have some incredible individuals behind the scenes who have made the Museum what it is today. Thank you to our wonderful volunteers, and we are always looking for new helpers!
